...NEAR FREEZING TEMPERATURES IN THE VALLEYS WITH AREAS OF FROST
TONIGHT AND TUESDAY NIGHT...
.A cold low pressure system over the western states will bring
periods of strong and gusty west winds today. As the storm moves
east, cold nights will follow, with areas of frost in the valleys
and the San Gorgonio Pass.
...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM
PST THIS EVENING...
...FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO
9 AM PST TUESDAY...
* Winds...Areas of winds west 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph
on Monday.
* Temperatures...Falling into the lower to mid 30s for late
tonight into Tuesday morning with areas of frost possible with
coldest temperatures in the inland valleys near the foothills
of the mountains.
* Impacts...Strong winds will make travel difficult for high-
profile vehicles. Watch for broken tree limbs and downed palm
fronds. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left
uncovered.
* Outlook...Patchy frost is also possible late tonight into
Wednesday morning...mainly for the inland valleys near the
foothills of the mountains.

* Location...Strongest gusts near the mountains...and in the
Coachella Valley north and east of Interstate 10.
* Impacts...Strong winds will make travel difficult for high-
profile vehicles. Blowing dust and sand may reduce visibility
to near zero in a few locations.

...STRONG WINDS AND SNOW SHOWERS FOR THE MOUNTAINS INTO THIS EVENING...
.A cold low pressure system over the western states will bring
strong gusty winds and periods of snow showers into this evening.
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM PST THIS
EVENING...
* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to two inches
are expected. Areas of southwest to west winds 25 to 35 mph
with gusts to 55 mph. The strongest gusts will be near 75 mph
near mountain ridge tops and along desert mountain slopes. Snow
levels will be near 3500 feet.
* WHERE...Mountains of San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego
Counties.
* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions,
including during the evening commute. Damage to trees and
power lines is likely. Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
times.
